Punahou School educational presentation & beach clean-up

On Wednesday 16th July, 2008 B.E.A.C.H. co-founder Suzanne Frazer gave educational presentations to two grade 2 classes on marine debris and the impact of marine debris on marine life.

B.E.A.C.H. assisted at the two Punahou School invasive algae clean-ups on Thursday 17th July 2008 by providing bags, gloves, water, buckets, rakes, and bottled water for the volunteers. The Nature Conservancy gave educational presentations before the clean-ups and helped rid the shoreline of invasive algae. Over 1,000 pounds of invasive algae was removed.
