Marine Debris Awareness
STUDENT ART PROJECT

in celebration of Earth Day

Students from schools on O`ahu in grades 3–12 took part in the Marine Debris Awareness Student Art Project from February - March, 2010. Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawai`i (B.E.A.C.H.) volunteers visited classes giving educational presentations which were followed by the students creating paintings and drawings to help raise awareness of the impact of marine debris on marine life.

The artwork will be on display at various venues including the Hawaii State Capitol and public libraries. (See schedule below).

Please note, all libraries are closed on Wed. April 7, 14 and 21.
